Judith and her husband, David Bell, have been involved with dogs most of their lives. For many years, Judith and David bred and showed Manchester Terriers winning both championships on their dogs and major awards at national shows. Judith and David have taught obedience classes on the island for the past 10 years. Their training business, BeauJes Dog Training LLC, is named after their first beloved Manchester Terriers, Beau and Jessie. It is because of them that David and Judith decided to follow their hearts.

After working in the city for over 20 years, David and Judith decided it was time to retire and do something they love! And of course that meant it had to include dogs! They left their home on Bainbridge Island and purchased 18 acres on the scenic Olympic Peninsula in Gardiner
Washington in 2002. The property is surrounded by wooded lands and open fields with beautiful streams; a perfect place for Judith’s and David’s retired show dogs to enjoy themselves! They christened their property “Hundsbury Farm” or “Hounds Hill” after David’s great grandfather’s farm in Sweden. Somehow it seemed appropriate!

The kennel facility, BeauJes Dog Training and Boarding at Hundsbury Farm, opened for business in January 2004. Since then it has become “the place to go” for Bainbridge Island dogs!! David and Judith are committed to providing focused care to every dog that stays with them. They guarantee
your pet’s stay will be a stress-free, comfortable and fun-filled experience!
 And because David and Judith are both trainers, they make sure your dog returns to you with their good manners intact.
