Look at the advantages of private in-home lessons:

Private in-home training is tailored to meet your needs and your dogs. You get one-on-one instruction without the distractions of a classroom environment. Many behaviors lend themselves to being worked on at home. Especially useful for developing management strategies and working on specific at-home behaviors. Often just one or two lessons is all you need to fix a nagging problem. If you need 3 lessons, there is a special discounted price of $275 (reg $300). The whole family gets to be involved (kids included!) as this is important so that everyone is being consistent with the dog. Private lessons are great for those whose schedules prohibit regular weekly attendance at a group class. And it’s the perfect solution for highly distracted dogs that don’t do well in a class setting or have not responded to obedience training in the group setting.

Puppy & Dog Play Group every Wednesday at Bainbridge Grange Hall!

Come and join the fun! Every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. at the Bainbridge Island Grange Hall, dog and puppy owners meet to enjoy our play group with their dogs! Besides wearing off lots of energy, we work on socializing skills. We talk about what’s good play, what’s not , when to intervene and when to let them work it out. We throw in a little training on recalls, impulse control and good manners while we’re at it. If you think you’d like to join us, please call 360-797-7979 or email judith@beaujes.com to sign up! The cost is $15 a week and there is no obligation to sign up for multiple sessions. We want you to come when it’s convenient for you and you need to wear out your dog during this dark and long winter! Dogs who are aggressive or who have a bite history are not eligible for the play group. But please call us to see if there is another way we can help you.

New! Growly Dog Classes using Behavior Adjustment Training in Gardiner!

Our Growly Dog classes use Behavior Adjustment Training, or BAT, to rehabilitate dog reactivity by looking at why the dog is reactive and helping him or her meet his needs in other ways. In a nutshell, BAT gives the dogs a chance to learn to control their environment through peaceful means. It’s very empowering to your dog, in a good way. Beaujes Dog Training is proud to be offering Growly Dog BAT classes for fearful/reactive dogs at our new facility in Gardiner. BAT classes are ongoing. The newest Therapy Dogs from Beaujes!

Join us at our new facility, Hundsbury Farm, in Gardiner for a new series of classes! Our obedience classes are designed to teach you how to train your dog. We will help you understand how dogs think, learn and communicate and we’ll show you how to use that knowledge to have a polite, well-mannered dog. Our six week training classes include Puppy Kindergarten, Adolescent Puppy, Canine Good Citizen & Therapy Dog, Rally and Advanced Obedience, and our new “Growly Dog” classes (4 week class). We proudly use training methods based on the scientific principles of learning theory that are both effective and humane. How long has it been since you raised a new puppy? For most of us it was when we were kids and our moms did most of the training!! Let us help you get ready for the arrival of your little furry bundle of joy! Our new Kinderpuppy Package will get you and your household set up for the arrival of your new puppy. Then we’ll meet with you two more times to help you shape your puppy into a great little Canine Good Citizen!

The Kinderpuppy Package is made up of three separate sessions:

1 pre-arrival lesson covers: (60 minutes)

Bringing puppy home
First night
Bed/crate set up
Housetraining set up
What to buy
Food
Leashes/Collars

1 post arrival lesson (within 2 days of puppy’s arrival) covers: (60
minutes)

Start basic obedience (sit, down, come, loose leash walking)
Socializing basics
Children & Puppies
Puppy Problems – nipping, jumping, etc.

1 follow up private lesson in a week or two covers: (60 minutes)

More basic training (sit/down/stay, attention, etc.)
Discuss any problems – house training, barking, etc.
Nail clipping
Teeth brushing

The package for the 3 lessons is $275. If you can’t commit to all 3
lessons and want to have just one session at a time, the price is $100 for a 60
minutes lesson.

Are you looking for a special gift for that special friend and their dog? How about a gift certificate from Beaujes Dog Training? We are now offering gift certificates for private in-home lessons and group classes.

Private in-home training is tailored to the needs of the dog; great for puppy obedience training, addressing behavior concerns or teaching manners. We also offer private lessons at our beautiful indoor facility in Gardiner! Private in-home lessons are $100 per hour; lessons at our facility are $75 per hour.

Our group obedience classes are designed to teach owners how to train their dogs. We help owners understand how dogs think, learn and communicate and how to use that knowledge to have a polite, well-mannered dog. Our six week long training classes include Puppy Kindergarten, Adolescent Puppy, Canine Good Citizen & Therapy Dog, and the popular “Growly Dog” class (this is a 4 week class).
