Bill Littlejohn & Shelby

Judith has worked with Shelby for nearly two years now. One of Shelby’s duties is to visit our Residents in our Retirement and Care facilities. Shelby has unlimited energy; however, the residents continually comment on the improvement in her manners and they look forward to seeing her. Rather than jump around them, she calmly sits next to them and allows them to pet her. Judith has the patience necessary along with a calming influence on Shelby.

Oriana Green & Daffodil

Although I was not a first-time dog owner, I was a first-time dog rescuer, and I quickly learned I needed help. A lot of help. Judith Bell to MY rescue. In a 2-hour appointment in my home, she solved every single training issue on my very long list. (I wish I had the list, but it included just about every major issue you might have, from house breaking to leash issues to changing her name.) I started out with a fearful, older dog who I didn’t understand at all, and I’ve ended up with a charming, sweet dog who I adore. We live together harmoniously and enjoy the value of play in both our lives, thanks to Judith!

Tucker & Bodhi Williams
“We’re the Williams’ Boys and we want everyone to know that we LOVE staying at Hundsbury Farm with Aunt Judith and Uncle David when our humans are out of town.  Mom says she really likes never having to worry about our care and safety when she’s away from us but what we really like are all the other great dogs and smells, the ball playing and special hugs and snuggles that make us feel like we’re with family!”                        Tucker and Bohdi Williams (Guardians are Hope and Jim Williams of “Best Friend Nutrition” in Sequim, WA)

Jackie and Ida Mae

Our Wheaton Terrier, Ida-Mae, had become so dog aggressive that I couldn’t trust her around any other dogs, including those of friends and family.  After her boarding/training with Judith, she is so much calmer, and I can walk her in the park without worrying that she will snap and snarl at dogs passing by.  Judith used specialized treatment with Ida-Mae that helped us deal with her fear-based aggression.  Now, when she sees another dog, she has learned to look at me, instead, and that calms her down.  Judith trained me to recognize situations that make my dog tense and nervous, and how to understand the body language.    I can also now walk Ida-Mae on a leash, which was impossible before.  We still have things to work on, but thanks to Judith, I now understand my dog better, and my commands to her are less confusing.  I have a great dog!

Judith, Michael & Finn

Finn & Judith

Finn is a Border Collie puppy who has attended two series of classes taught by Judith Bell of Beaujes. He is a high energy dog who needs structure and a good basis for acquiring ongoing skills.  Through attending Jud’ts training classes he has developed a series of positive behaviors while having fun doing this.  Educating a dog’s owners is an important part of a dog’s success in attaining acceptable social goals, trust, consistency and a desire to continue and love learning new things.  All part of the Beaujes series of training classes.  Thank you, Judith – it was a pleasure to work with you.

Becca, David & Freckles

Freckles and Cows
Freckles turns two on the 26th and, upon reflection, I know that she would want you to know what a difference you have made in our lives. Not only have you become a valued resource in the ongoing raising of a good dog but, by virtue of the time that she has spent with you when we have had to travel, a treasured member of our extended family, and one whom she delights in visiting! Thanks so much for your willing ear, your wise counsel and your willingness to extend your heart to one rambunctious Springer Spaniel and her people!

Much gratitude and many hugs,
Becca, David & Freckles

Mel, Peter & Jeb

Jeb
As a licensed veterinary technician I have seen the results of less than adequate boarding facilities. It is a terrible feeling to come home and find your beloved friend has not been well cared for. This is never the case with Hundbury Farm. My dog Jeb is a friendly, but somewhat nervous dog. The first time he stayed with Judith and David I was afraid he would be a wreck. Much to my surprise, when we picked him up he was happy and did not want to leave. Now, I always feel comfortable with leaving him there. He starts whining and getting excited the minute we turn into their drive. The kennels and boarding facilities are always clean and all the dogs seem genuinely happy to be there. I know he is in good hands.

Sami, Paavo and Ville
We are so lucky to have BeauJes Dog Training nearby! Not only have we already taken advantage of a personal consultation which helped us with our rumbustious adolescent puppy Paavo but we routinely board our kids with Judith and David when we travel. It gives us such a peace of mind to know that they are where they want to be. When David comes to pick them up they get very excited because they know they are going to camp. The facility is so clean and comfortable it is just like home. It doesn’t feel like a boarding facility at all. And the attention and exercise our dogs get while we are away is incredible. Last time they got some obedience camp too and we could see a difference! Paavo especially went there still a bit barky and came back so sweet I can now walk him in a harness (he is over 100 pounds!) in our neighborhood! Judith and David are great and so accommodating to busy people. We love the pick up and drop off service and just everything about the boarding services. In fact, we never think of it as boarding, we think of it as doggy camp. It’s like home away from home.

Thank you for everything you do!

Anna and Lucy

Lucy and Anna
I wish I was able to thank you in person for your kindess and patience teaching my children teach Lucy. It was a great experience for all of us. Anna still feeds Lucy her breakfast kibble by kibble for training….no not every meal but boy when they work together through one bowl it’s always a successful lesson. Thanks again for all the wonderful lessons!

Elaine and Andie

Elaine and Andie
There is no one better at training dogs than Judith. I have a 50 lb dog who was aggressive with other dogs. Walking with her was a nightmare……she’d bark, growl and pull at the leash when other dogs approached us. After a couple of phone consults with Judith, she taught me how to manage my dog Andie’s behavior. Now Andie sits and looks at me when she sees other dogs walking our way. Isn’t that amazing!? Judith is my hero…..she really understands dogs!

Julianne and Toast

Toast
Toast and I started our relationship with Judith and David when Toast was just a puppy. The training we received has made us both more confident and joyful in our relationship. He’s such a good dog and I know without the Judith and David’s help, I wouldn’t have known what to do to help him grow into all his wonderful potential. When he was a puppy I had to travel a lot and leave him boarded. Judith and David even took a video of Toasty so I’d know how much fun he was having there and I did not have to feel guilty or like a bad mother. I know he’s in great hands and having the time of his life.

Thank you Judith and David for all your loving care.

Katie and Lettie

Lettie
Judith Bell took a cute, highly-opinionated and disobedient puppy and turned her into a cute, highly-opinioned and well-trained puppy! More importantly, she turned her well-meaning but inept owner into a confident handler. Four years later, and my dog has become a canine good citizen and certified therapy dog under Judiths continued guidance. And we still go to more classes, advanced obedience, rally, agility and tricks classes not only challenge my dog, but we both have a great deal of fun!

Jan, Tom, Sadie and Keely

Sadie and Keely
We met Judith and David through their puppy class on Bainbridge Island. When I heard about their boarding facility, I was eager to give it a try as we had experienced many boarding challenges over the years. Our old girl is a 12 year old Border Collie, Sadie, who is quite cautious and tends to get VERY anxious in new surroundings. We tried several venues including leaving her at home with someone coming to feed her etc. We could not seem to find a place where we could relax and know she would not be a wreck when we got home from vacation. We added a new puppy to our family, a polar opposite in personality. Our young English Shepherd, Keely, is Miss Social and has yet to meet a dog or person she does not love. So, now we had two dogs with very different needs. Judith and David rose to the challenge. We left our two girls for a trial weekend, with some trepidation. No worries! Both dogs did beautifully. I love the set up at their home. They live in a beautiful rural setting. Everything is so well organized and very clean. They have limited space so all the dogs get lots of personal attention. The individual kennel spaces have doorways to a wonderful yard where the dogs play and exercise. Judith kept Sadie in the ofice with her or found like minded timid, calm dogs for her to socialize with. Keely had the time of her life and probably would just as soon stayed indefinitely. Since that first weekend we have left our girls for longer stays with complete satisfaction every time. To top it off Judith also trains the dogs so they come back better behaved too! Thanks for giving us such a great vacation spot for our special girls.

Fondly,
Jan, Tom, Sadie and Keely

Tisha, Adam and Owen

Adam and Owen
Owen, our mini-aussie, is intelligent and wonderful, but also needs a lot of interaction. We love this about him and its precisely why we selected an Australian Shepherd. However, when we travel, it means that leaving him at just any kennel is out of the question. There is no other place that we would feel comfortable having Owen stay than at BeauJes. When Owen is staying with you, we don’t worry about him and we can relax and enjoy ourselves. We know he is having a vacation too!

Rosemary and Macon

Macon
In January 2004 my youngest canine companion, Macon, was rescued at three weeks of age along with his mom and all of his siblings. When they were found, mom only weighed 45 pounds when she should have been closer to eighty pounds. She had struggled to stay alive and care for her babies. I brought Macon into my home when he was 11 weeks old. The rescue organization named his mom Georgia and all of her pups after cities in Georgia. I decided that Macon should keep his name because he was, Makin me laugh, Makin me crazy and Makin difference in my life. I loved him dearly but to say he was a rascal is putting it lightly. I affectionately called him my Maniac and not so affectionately called him Leaping Teeth. He was much more rambunctious than my other two had ever been. I knew I needed help and I called Judith. We signed up for training at the Bainbridge Island Grange. Prior to the first class Judith came to my home for a consult and met the Wild Thing. I will always be grateful for how patiently Judith taught both of us through positive reinforcement to trust and communicate with each other and to work together as a human/canine team. Macon would have failed if he been trained in an assertive dominance manner but he is a cheerful and happy dog today because of Judiths positive approach. Macon boarded with Judith and David a few times. When he came home from one of those vacations he had learned a new trick called, bow to the queen. Judith taught him to bow lowering only his front legs while keeping his butt up high! It is very cute and the subtle message to remind me that I am the leader was firmly imprinted on my brain. I will admit that it took us twice to pass the Canine Good Citizen but I am proud to say that we have gone on to train and compete in agility competitions. He has done exceptionally well. Macon and I do warm up exercises before each run in an agility competition that consists of him turning in circles and finishing with a bow to the queen. It is a reminder that we would never have this opportunity if it had not been for the patient, respectful and caring way that Judith taught us the basics.

Mounger Family and Boe

Boe
We have had a wonderful three year relationship with Beaujes Dog Training and Boarding. Boe is boarded on an average of once every couple of months and it is very comforting to know that while he is there that any issues he might have are addressed and that he is getting the same level of care that he would get at home. We are very impressed with the space they have created at their facility as it really feels like it was designed with the comfort and safety of the dogs in mind. We have taken several of the classes and we are convinced after watching how the dogs respond to Judith that she truly is the female dog whisperer! We highly recommend this wonderful home away from home for your dogs.

Mike and OJ

Mike and OJ
My dobie, OJ, loves Hundsbury Farm so much, he gets excited just seeing David or Judith come up the driveway to pick him up. I cannot imagine a better place to send my dog when my family is traveling, wide open spaces to run in and other dogs to play with. I can relax, knowing he is in great hands. I recommend Beaujes’ boarding and training wholeheartedly to everyone.

Hotchkiss Family

Tater and Louise
We feel fortunate to have found Beaujes, it has it all: The care and attention of Judith and David ( dog trainers )an impeccable boarding kennel, and fun socializing and exercise for our beloved hounds. We first met you and David when Louise attended her first puppy training class. I was impressed with how you dealt with your class and owners. You take what you do very seriously. I respect your gentle but firm approach to teaching us how do be proper dog owners and our dogs be “proper” around their peers and humans. We’ve always struggled with finding the “perfect” place to board our dogs. We found places that came close but there would always be something that was off….maybe lack of exercise, socializing or even the condition of the boarding areas. When we learned that you and David boarded as well, we couldn’t wait to see your set-up. You welcomed our visit and showed us around with pride. It was impeccable. We enjoyed watching the current “boarders” play and they all looked so happy. After that visit we’ve felt completely at ease. What we appreciate the most of course, is your attention to our beloved pets. You notice if they are eating, acting strangely, losing weight, have a runny eye etc. This is the frosting on the cake. Our dogs can’t wait to board your truck for their stay yet come home happy and healthy. My only wish is that you were closer! Thank you for all the care and love you give our babies.

Tijen and family

Robin and Annie

Annie
Annie always returns exuberant, yet exhausted – an obvious indication of a thoroughly enjoyable “vacation” away from home. We thank you for providing a fun, safe, educational environment for our beloved goldendoodle.

Claire and French

French
We enjoy our travels so much more, knowing that French is having even more fun than we are. He comes home happy and tired after playing with his friends at Hundsbury Farm.

Jeanne and Beezie

Beezie
Being an obsessive/compulsive canine mother, I don’t trust my Beezie to just ‘anyone’. Judith’s boarding facility is 5 star quality – I’ve never had a moment’s worry while Beezie has been in Judith’s kind and very knowledgeable care.

Carol and Skye

Carol and Skye
The quality and cleanliness of the BeauJes facilities and Judith and David Bell’s personal, professional care will spoil you for any other boarding experience. If you can’t get your dog into BeauJes, you may as well stay home.

Mary and Daisy

Rosie
I have used other kennels, but, until Beaujes, I’ve never had a place in which I had absolute trust that my dog would be well-cared for. Judith’s knowledge about dogs and her love of dogs has ensured that both my dog and I have a wonderful experience when she stays at Beaujes. We’ve stayed with Beaujes several times a year for the past three years. I wouldn’t take my dog anyplace else.

Robert and Fraser

Robert and Fraser
I’ve greatly valued attending all of your dog training classes!! Fraser and I completed “Puppy Kindergarten” (when Fraser was about 12 weeks old), then successfully completed the Canine Good Citizen class when Fraser was about 6 mo old. I appreciated your patience, your sense of humor, and your wisdom about dogs (and their owners). They say dogs are man’s (and woman’s!) best friends . . . but with BeauJes Dog Training, I feel like I learned how to be a best friend to my dog!

Daliah and Nadya

Our Black Russian Terrier, Nadya, stayed at Beaujes for over a week when we went on a family trip. Judith and David are professional, kind and trustworthy, and I think Nadya was on her own vacation when she was with them! It is so wonderful to have the peace of mind that there is a place where our pet is not only safely boarded, but genuinely cared for.
