Tisha, Adam and Owen

Adam and Owen
Owen, our mini-aussie, is intelligent and wonderful, but also needs a lot of interaction. We love this about him and its precisely why we selected an Australian Shepherd. However, when we travel, it means that leaving him at just any kennel is out of the question. There is no other place that we would feel comfortable having Owen stay than at BeauJes. When Owen is staying with you, we don’t worry about him and we can relax and enjoy ourselves. We know he is having a vacation too!

Rosemary and Macon

Macon
In January 2004 my youngest canine companion, Macon, was rescued at three weeks of age along with his mom and all of his siblings. When they were found, mom only weighed 45 pounds when she should have been closer to eighty pounds. She had struggled to stay alive and care for her babies. I brought Macon into my home when he was 11 weeks old. The rescue organization named his mom Georgia and all of her pups after cities in Georgia. I decided that Macon should keep his name because he was, Makin me laugh, Makin me crazy and Makin difference in my life. I loved him dearly but to say he was a rascal is putting it lightly. I affectionately called him my Maniac and not so affectionately called him Leaping Teeth. He was much more rambunctious than my other two had ever been. I knew I needed help and I called Judith. We signed up for training at the Bainbridge Island Grange. Prior to the first class Judith came to my home for a consult and met the Wild Thing. I will always be grateful for how patiently Judith taught both of us through positive reinforcement to trust and communicate with each other and to work together as a human/canine team. Macon would have failed if he been trained in an assertive dominance manner but he is a cheerful and happy dog today because of Judiths positive approach. Macon boarded with Judith and David a few times. When he came home from one of those vacations he had learned a new trick called, bow to the queen. Judith taught him to bow lowering only his front legs while keeping his butt up high! It is very cute and the subtle message to remind me that I am the leader was firmly imprinted on my brain. I will admit that it took us twice to pass the Canine Good Citizen but I am proud to say that we have gone on to train and compete in agility competitions. He has done exceptionally well. Macon and I do warm up exercises before each run in an agility competition that consists of him turning in circles and finishing with a bow to the queen. It is a reminder that we would never have this opportunity if it had not been for the patient, respectful and caring way that Judith taught us the basics.

Mounger Family and Boe

Boe
We have had a wonderful three year relationship with Beaujes Dog Training and Boarding. Boe is boarded on an average of once every couple of months and it is very comforting to know that while he is there that any issues he might have are addressed and that he is getting the same level of care that he would get at home. We are very impressed with the space they have created at their facility as it really feels like it was designed with the comfort and safety of the dogs in mind. We have taken several of the classes and we are convinced after watching how the dogs respond to Judith that she truly is the female dog whisperer! We highly recommend this wonderful home away from home for your dogs.

Mike and OJ

Mike and OJ
My dobie, OJ, loves Hundsbury Farm so much, he gets excited just seeing David or Judith come up the driveway to pick him up. I cannot imagine a better place to send my dog when my family is traveling, wide open spaces to run in and other dogs to play with. I can relax, knowing he is in great hands. I recommend Beaujes’ boarding and training wholeheartedly to everyone.

Tater and Louise
We feel fortunate to have found Beaujes, it has it all: The care and attention of Judith and David ( dog trainers )an impeccable boarding kennel, and fun socializing and exercise for our beloved hounds. We first met you and David when Louise attended her first puppy training class. I was impressed with how you dealt with your class and owners. You take what you do very seriously. I respect your gentle but firm approach to teaching us how do be proper dog owners and our dogs be “proper” around their peers and humans. We’ve always struggled with finding the “perfect” place to board our dogs. We found places that came close but there would always be something that was off….maybe lack of exercise, socializing or even the condition of the boarding areas. When we learned that you and David boarded as well, we couldn’t wait to see your set-up. You welcomed our visit and showed us around with pride. It was impeccable. We enjoyed watching the current “boarders” play and they all looked so happy. After that visit we’ve felt completely at ease. What we appreciate the most of course, is your attention to our beloved pets. You notice if they are eating, acting strangely, losing weight, have a runny eye etc. This is the frosting on the cake. Our dogs can’t wait to board your truck for their stay yet come home happy and healthy. My only wish is that you were closer! Thank you for all the care and love you give our babies.
