Studies prove that dogs can enhance the health and well-being of others. For people that are hospitalized or in care facilities, the interaction with a therapy dog brings smiles to their faces.

Do you have a dog that you think would make a great therapy dog? BeauJes Dog Training will be performing the testing for Therapy Dogs International, Inc. on Saturday February 14, 2009.

Are you looking for a special gift for that special friend and their dog? How about a gift certificate from Beaujes Dog Training? We are now offering gift certificates for private in-home lessons and group classes.

Private in-home training is tailored to the needs of the dog; great for puppy obedience training, addressing behavior concerns or teaching manners. Private lessons are $80 per hour.

Our group obedience classes are designed to teach owners how to train their dogs. We help owners understand how dogs think, learn and communicate and how to use that knowledge to have a polite, well-mannered dog. Our six week long training classes include Puppy Kindergarten, Adolescent Puppy, Canine Good Citizen & Therapy Dog, and the popular Tricks and Games class. The Hood Canal Bridge, our lifeline to Bainbridge Island, will be closed starting on May 1 through June 15, 2009. We are hoping these dates are the maximum number of days the bridge will be closed and hope there is a chance it will be open earlier. There will be a foot ferry from the Peninsula to Lofall (near Poulsbo) but there will be limited ability to transport a dog on the boat. You can drive around but it's an all day excursion. David and I are still working on a plan so we can continue to service our loyal customers. As soon as we know more we will let you know. In the meantime if you've got any great ideas or want to discuss your needs during those dates, please give us a call or drop us an email!!!
